Mori, The Artist’s Habitat

Shuichi Okita’s newest film is based on the life of a painter Morikazu Kumagai. Not having left his residence in decades, he chooses to observe the nature of his backyard instead. Eccentric characters, witty banter, and the clever paralleling of human lives with those of insects – Mori serves a mix of humor, feelgood and deep thoughts about life itself.
