Sato and Sato

Sato Sachi and Sato Tamotsu are a young couple attracted to each other’s contrasting personalities. Marital crisis enters the Satos’ relationship when Sachi half accidentally passes a lawyer bar exam, which Tamotsu fails again after several attempts. Sachi quits her job and becomes a successful lawyer, while Tamotsu takes care of household chores in between his tutoring gigs. Amano Chihiro, known for her comedic film Mrs. Noisy (2019), studies the prevalent, but perhaps changing gender roles in Japanese society.
