Kim Ki-Duk, South Korea
Kim Ki-duk depicts the North-South Korea conflict from a very different angle than what has been done earlier: his protagonist is a North Ko- rean fisherman, who accidentally drifts over the border. This film steps over the decades long hate between the nations and shows that all Koreans want the same: to be together with their loved ones.
