Hema Hema: Sing Me a Song while I Wait

Hema Hema: Sing Me a Song while I Wait

Khyentse Norbu, Bhutan

He-mà He-mà, 2016, 95 min, K-16

A weird ceremony is starting in a remote village: all the participants appear in masks, nameless, without identity to the other participants. Social norms are stripped down, deep instincts start ruling, and then there is a crime committed. Norbu has created a film which visualizes skillfully the ideas of life and death, transgression and rebirth.
